Good for us!

Its not a miracle. Just take your time and relax!

Breathing Zone is good for your health and well-beiing.

Easy to follow. I like the colour wheel, its pretty to look at. A good way to combine meditation with breathing. I find deep breathing eases tension in my neck and shoulders after sitting at the computer for a long time.

Great app

Love this app. I use it almost everyday. Easy to use with good options in the settings menu to fine-tune the app. Great way to release tension and help the mind focus. Well worth the money. The only thing that bugs me a bit is that the window always opens close to the bottom of my screen so when I click the setting button the panel always slides down and off screen and I always have to drag the window back up again. Fix that and I will gladly give you 5 stars.

I could never meditate before using this app. Now Im up to 20-30 mins almost every day.

Good...but needs some tweaks....

I like the idea of this app and its a good start. Ive been using guided breathing to lower my BP for a couple of years. BUT - the timing of this app is off. Good guided breathing has you breathing IN through your nose and OUT through your mouth - the way the inhale and exhale timing is set on this app makes that difficult as it calls for a short inhale and longer exhale - backwards for GOOD breathing technique. Fixing this (or allowing it to be customizable) is KEY to this becoming a great app. A few more types of tones would be nice and maybe to be able to set this to be automatic - so it pops up to remind you a few times a day - would be really nice to have.

This app. is fabulous!! It is a GREAT tool to help you lower blood pressure, but in my case,......STRESS! The Guided breathing timing can be changed to accomadate your feeling comfortable. GOOD breathing technique teaches you to breath in through the nose out the NOSE!!! The old,..in through the nose out the mouth,.can cause gretter stress or even hyper ventalation!!!! The guided breathing timing couldnt be more perfect! This is like having your own trainer with you at all times!!! The app offers you both visual and audio stimulation to help keep your consintration, and focus on your exercise! ANYONE with stress, high blood pressure, panic attacks,...........I highly recommend this app.!!! You can adjust everything on it to make you feel comfortable with your exercise!! The way positive meditation works is it not only calms you while you are doing it, but repitition of the practice, helps you build a "calm reserve" to call apon when a stressful situation occurs!! A Calming "Savings Account" if you will! I THINK EVERYONE CAN BENEFIT FROM THIS APP.,.............TRY IT,..........IT JUST MAY SAVE YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!! 5 STARS x 10 !!!!!!

Works as advertized

Tried it a few times - works as advertised - have to wait and see if it has any impact on blood pressure. Would like iPhone version and Mac version to share data so you have a single record of when and how much you practise breathing.

This app is buggy. Do NOT buy!

Both the free and paid versions crash and will not reopen. I want my money back!

I have a rather stressful job and I use this on my MacBook to stress down for 5 minutes when needed. It works great and I really feel more relaxed. Recommended for all Project leaders :)

Great App-- terrific intro to stress reduction exercises

This is a fantastic little app. Great price, works like it says it does. My only complaint is that I wish there was a Windows version I could buy for the rest of my family.

Does what it says. Very well.

I took the rhythm I learned from Breathing Zone and use it out in the wild, so to speak, when I find myself under stress. Just a few moments can help me find my center again. Being able to extend the time over the free version is a big plus for me, too.

simple, inexpensive, pleasant, powerful

Although this app does nothing for you that you couldnt do by yourself with a decent stopwatch, it makes the experience of focusing on and altering the speed of your respiration simple and effective. The benefits of use are primarily psychological - reduced stress, better focus, increased calm and reserves of energy. A 5 minute or so exercise becomes a habitual source of health and energy tremendsously quickly, and it becomes clear within 2 or 3 uses how to use it most effectively, without more attention or dedication than it needs. This exercise is a pleasant experience first and foremost, and an effective remedy for the daily grind most of the time. While I know I could make do without it, Im very grateful its become one of the apps I use most frequently. It works, if not wonders, simply wonderfully well.

Simple and sweet, like an Apple App oughta be

"Eat when youre hungry, drink when youre dry, sleep when youre sleepy, but keep breathing or youll die." Im new to Mac culture and this app typifies the small-and-friendly approach that charms so many users. A nice way to remember that oxyen is there when we need it. Before computers we couldnt retrieve info or do calculations as quickly, but we werent always forgetting to blimk and breathe. . .

I recommend to patients for panic attacks and/or anxiety

The visual imagery helps some people focus who have difficulty initially doing mindful breathing. Patients I work with report watching the in-out breathing takes their focus off their panic. Decreasing the breathing rate to 3.5 helps them get control of their shallow rapid breathing, which also helps slow rapid heart beat. Ideally, after initial success with this, the patient should wean themselves off of an external support and transition to internalizing mindful breathing. Highly recommended for patients with smartphones or Macs. It is available for smartphones other than iPhones also.

just a few additions to greatness

the only additions that would be helpful for this app would be a menubar controller and iCloud sync. If you set up a weekly goal, it’d be nice to have that reflected on all of your connected devices.
